When a pregnant woman suffered malnutrition, then their child may be born with low weight and are at risk for not survived. Children with poor nutrition are also often difficult to follow the lessons at school.

Malnutrition Handling
For diagnosis of malnutrition, the doctor usually will do the inspection:
  • Checking the patient's height and weight to determine BMI (Body Mass Index)
  • Do blood tests to see abnormalities
  • X-ray examination to check whether there are abnormalities in the bones and other organs
  • Checking disease or other conditions that can lead to malnutrition

For treatment of malnutrition. Your doctor or dietitian will usually propose for the regulation of diet, including the type and amount of food.
